Purpose of the post:

Under the supervision of the HR Manager assist the HR section on administrative tasks related to HR.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

- Update the leave status for all the staff

- Monitor medical clerance

- Ensure and update the HR filing system

- Monitor issuance and renewal of UNLP

- Follow up on all local staff contractual status for renewals of contracts, promotions, within-grade increments, dependency allowance.

- Update staff orientation documents

- Performs any other clerical duties as required

Working Conditions:

- Normal office based post. Incumbent is expected to perform above functions under normal working conditions, related to office accommodation, procedures, workload, mobility and institutional and personal safety, taking into account the emergency nature of the duty station.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required:

- Completion of secondary educations school and preferably first university degree in human resources or business administration or related field.

- Two years of relevant professional work experience in the field of Human Resources. Experience in an international organization desirable.

- Fluency in English and Dari or Pashto is required.

- Good judgement, initiative, high sense of responsibility

- Tact and courtesy in dealing with people.

- Discretion, and sensitive to different cultures.

- Good writing and communication skills.

- Computer skills, including internet navigation and various office applications.
